Erica Grant BIO
Erica Grant grew up in rural Pennsylvania. The youngest of five children, their family lived very meagerly. With no TV, toys, or video games to play, Grant was forced to use her own imagination for entertainment, thereby developing the intense creative flair that manifests itself in her work as a performer today.
Through out school, Grant was an honor student, excelling in the arts, writing and gymnastics. It was while performing in a high school play, that Grant discovered her true calling, the performing arts.
Any dreams of such a life were heavily discouraged and frowned upon by her family. So bowing to pressure, Grant decided to do something "practical and feasible,” and entered the world of nursing. Though she enjoyed helping others, she quickly became disenchanted with Western medicine and it’s bandaid mentality.
During a chance meeting with several actors from New York, Grant learned of ways she could pursue her pushed aside dreams of acting and singing. Soon she was commuting between Pennsylvania and New York doing just that.
Soon though, critical family and work responsibilities forced Grant once again to put this life long love on hold. Eventually, major life changes freed her to relocate to Los Angeles with nothing but the clothes on here back.
Once there, Grant voraciously attended acting classes, worked in production, and spent her spare time volunteering in a talent agency and casting office to learn the ropes.
Her overiding need to create, spawned forth an entertainment property and comic book character, both named Mother Grim where Grant spends much of her time attending to the development of the Mother Grim movie and it’s ancillary merchandise.
